    International Day

    Alternating years, International Day is scheduled on a Friday afternoon to be held on the Covered Court. Parents and staff from each country represented in Faith International Academy will sponsor a booth. The Student Councils will issue “passports.” The booths typically include artifacts, photos and refreshments from that culture. Members of the school community are welcome to attend.

    Spirit Week

    Near the beginning of each year, there is a week designated as Spirit Week for the entire school (K-12). This is a time for costume days and special events at lunchtime. All students will want to participate to show their school and team spirit. It is a time of enjoyment and team building with the student body and staff.

    Welcome Back Retreat

    The High School Welcome Back event, a unique Olympic event happened last August 12-13. The rare and creative competitions started in the morning on the FIA campus. Afterwards, the students stayed at a resort in town then returned to campus Saturday noon.

    The High School (HS) music curriculum offers two different year-long courses annually. Our Music Performing Ensemble classes—Bandestra (Instr. Music) and Choral Sounds (Vocal Music)—alternate years, so that only one highly developed HS performing ensemble class occurs during a given year.

Our FIA Community and Parents are our greatest asset for promoting our school. Please consider placing the following openings in your correspondence, social media and in your times of sharing with others. CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Come to our Christmas Concert tomorrow, Dec. 2, at 6:30 pm in the PAC auditorium. Featuring high school Vocal Ensemble, middle school vocal music, and all elementary students, the songs focus on the coming of Jesus to redeem people and restore the world. ATHLETICS

Athletics Games this Saturday, (December 3, 2016) –This week our FIA Girls basketball teams A & B will be playing against the High School teams from Assumption College of Davao, starting with the Team B game at 8:00 am, and the Team A game to follow. The FIA Boys Soccer Team will be playing against the Ateneo de Davao High School soccer team this Saturday as well at 8:00 am. HIGH SCHOOL CHRISTMAS BANQUET

The High School Black and White Christmas Banquet will be this Saturday, December 3, from 6:15-9:30 pm at the Royal Mandaya Hotel. Formal dress code applies. We look forward to celebrating Christmas with all of you who have purchased a ticket. ~~High School Student Council Parents, please note that students will be chaperoned only during their time at the hotel from 6:15-9:30 pm. HIGH SCHOOL FINAL EXAM SCHEDULE

The High School students will have their final examinations on Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 14-16. They will be dismissed at 2:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and at 11:40 am on Friday. If students bring a note from their parents, they may come late or leave early if they do NOT have an exam scheduled for that period. Wednesday, Dec. 14: final exams for periods 8, 5, 3 Thursday, Dec. 15: final exams for periods 1, 2, 7 Friday, Dec. 16: final exams for periods 4, 6, closing chapel ~~Shannon Farlin, High School Lead Teacher
