FIA ATHLETICS

FIA Athletes this Saturday (March 25th)–The FIA high school boys basketball team will be hosting their local “1 Day Four Team Tournament” starting at 8:00 am on Saturday with games going until around 4:00 pm. Local boys “junior” aged teams from Lamb of God SPED, Dr. Santiago Dacudao National High School and Davao Jones Academy will be joining our boys in competing in this event here in the FIA Gymnasium. Our FIA girls soccer team will have a friendly game at 8:00 am this Saturday, with an opponent yet to be determined. Come and support your FIA student athletes! ~~Andy Tillman, Athletic Director

TACO-IN-A-BAG

High school student council will be selling snacks, drinks and taco-in-a-bag during the High School Boys Basketball Tournament this Saturday. Come support the teams and enjoy some snacks! Taco-in-a-bag sales will start at 11:00 am.

ELEMENTARY MUSIC PROGRAM

Next Thursday, March 23, at 6:30 pm, K-5 students will present “That’s So Daniel!” We are looking forward to sharing our hard work with you! Please invite your friends and feel free to bring something to share for our “potluck” merienda (optional unless parent of a performer). K-5 parents, please note the dress code and arrival time on the note sent home last week. Students with speaking parts will have one more round of skit practice and a dress rehearsal on Monday, 3:00-4:00 pm. PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE

The parent-teacher conferences will start at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 24, after Track and Field Day. If you would like to meet with your child’s teacher or if a teacher has requested a conference with you, please sign up for an appointment at the Academic Office. This is a good opportunity to meet with your children’s teachers, discuss progress at school, and find solutions to academic or behavioral issues. ~~Lynette Tillman, Interim Academic Administrator

TRACK AND FIELD DAY

Track and Field Day is Friday, March 24, starting at 7:30 am. All students Kinder-Grade 8 will be participating in Track and Field. Parents are invited to watch the morning of fun competition on the soccer field and in the gym. The Color Teams will be posted soon around campus; students should come to school on March 24 wearing their team color, with a water bottle and snack. It is also recommended that students have on sunscreen and/or wear a hat. All students are expected to leave campus at the conclusion of Track and Field, around 11:00 am. There is no school lunch provided for this day. ~~Karissa Pattison, Activities Coordinator

HIGH SCHOOL CLASSES DURING TRACK AND FIELD DAY

While the younger students are participating in Track and Field Day on March 24th, the high school students will be attending classes. The day will start with HS chapel followed by periods 2, 3, and 8. We will finish at 11:00 am. High school students should come in school uniform. ~~Shannon Farlin, High School Lead Teacher
