Middle School

Grades 6-8

The Middle School years are among the most formative in a student’s life—a season when curiosity deepens, friendships flourish, and personal identity begins to take shape.

During Grades 6–8, students grow in independence, explore new interests, and develop the habits and skills that lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Our goal is to guide students through this meaningful transition from childhood to adolescence, equipping them with a biblical worldview, strong character, and a clear sense of purpose.

Academically, students receive a well-rounded education through core subjects such as Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, along with enriching programs in Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, and Heritage Studies (Filipino and Korean). Our school wide learning results (SRLs) encourage students to become creative and critical thinkers, self-directed learners, proficient collaborators, skillful communicators, and faithful stewards.

To encourage spiritual growth, weekly Chapel invites all students into a warm community of prayer, worship, and reflection on God’s Word.

As they move between classrooms throughout the day, students learn to manage their time, take responsibility for their learning, and prepare for the structure of high school.

Beyond the classroom, students can participate in Athletics, Worship Band, and Outdoor Education—an annual week-long trip to Luzon that provides opportunities to explore nature, strengthen friendships, and develop teamwork and leadership skills.

At FIA, we understand that middle school is a time of growth and independence, and we value the ongoing partnership between parents and educators in guiding students through these developmental years.
